About the Platform
Chinese National Platform on Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS) was officially launched on 27 Jun 2017. Dr. TIAN Shihong, Vice Administrator of SAC, LIU Yuhua, commercial counselor of MOFCOM, JI Zhengkun, President of CAS, Bonapas Onguglo, delegate of UNFSS and representatives from ITC, UNCTAD, FAO, UN Environment and UNIDO launched the National Platform together.
VSS focuses on health, environment protection, social responsibility etc., and demands higher requirements in technical standards during producing process, providing products and services in supply chain. The Chinese National Platform aims to improve public awareness of VSS, facilitate the development of VSS, and push forward the realization of SDGs proposed by United Nations.
